It is always heartbreaking to see a dog being abandoned by his own family. Unfortunately, some families are not willing to take care of their sick or elderly dogs, which causes immense suffering for the poor animal. A case in point is Ray, an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever that was found wandering the streets of Torrance, California. He was all alone, with sad and crusty eyes. His body was emaciated, and his coat was patchy due to malnourishment. It’s a shame that some people still abandon dogs despite the love and loyalty they show towards their owners.
Carson Shelter staff from California had saved Ray’s life. With the help of the shelter volunteers, Ray’s health was restored but he still remained melancholic. After a while, they decided to put him up for adoption. However, there doesn’t seem to be a huge demand for adopting elderly dogs like Ray.
Great news! Ray has finally found a new home! Despite the struggles he went through, Ray’s attitude towards people remains unchanged. He still shows unconditional love towards everyone. It was heart-wrenching to see how sad and hopeless he looked in the rescue video. Nevertheless, we are hopeful that his new family will bring him back to his high spirits and shower him with all the love and care he deserves.
